Name: Nettlesong
Gender: She-cat
Age: 9 Weeks
Clan: WoodsClan
Rank: Medicine cat
Physical Description:
Nettlesong is a lightly built, small framed she-cat who never really grew much since she was an apprentice. She is very dainty looking, with little paws and a short tail, but she is not to be underestimated. She can shoot up a tree as rapidly and agilely as a squirrel. Despite this talent for climbing, she doesn't have much skill in battle at all, and her size puts her at an obvious disadvantage.
The medicine cat's fur is a deep, dense black all over; devoid of interference from any other colours. The darkness of her pelt enables her to slink through the woods in the safety of the shadows without being noticed. Silent and stealthy. Her fur is short and sleek, and in the sunlight it has a glossy shine. Nettlesong's eyes are a washed out blue, possessing hints of grey and dull green as well. The colour by itself is nothing impressive, but when paired up with her dark pelt, a beautiful contrast is created. They stand out against her black coat like two blue gems.
Personality:
Perfectionist. This word describes Nettlesong oh so well. She wants everything to be absolutely perfect and organised, and one peek into the medicine cat's den will be enough to convince you of this. All of the herbs are organised and kept in neat little packs, and the den itself is very clean and well kept. When something doesn't meet Nettlesong's standards, she panics and frets. During one of these 'episodes', she will grow more irritable and snappy, and will usually remain like this until the alleged problem is fixed, or she simply loses interest.
Nettlesong, despite her sometimes obsessive nature, is a generally polite she-cat. She is quite quiet and a bit of an introvert, but she is usually friendly to other cats. She cares about her Clan very much, and feels an affectionate connection towards every member. Due to her reserved politeness, some cats find it quite shocking when she reacts to something filthy or imperfect in her overdramatic way; seeing her tremble and snap at everyone isn't really a nice sight, but eventually other cats will probably get used to it, and just accept that Nettlesong will do things like that once in a while.
She isn't the best fighter, but this is almost wholly compensated for by her intelligence. She is a very thoughtful and quick minded cat, and despite her young age, she knows a decent amount about herbs. The previous mentor of WoodsClan, her former mentor, taught her a lot, and she remembers almost all of it. Nettlesong has a fantastic, photographic memory - something that probably stemmed from her obsession with organisation and how things are arranged. She likes to remember the exact positioning of things so she can maintain the standards consistently.
History:
Nettlesong was a bright, healthy kit with a burning curiosity about how things worked and functioned around her. She was always tiny, though, and she was what they call the 'runt of the litter'. She began training as a warrior, and her potential was disappointingly useless. But the medicine cat of WoodsClan recognised her mind and her other strengths, and took her up as his apprentice.
She was trained under his experienced eyes, but unfortunately, life was escaping him at a rapid rate. He was elderly and very frail, if he was a warrior he would have been in the elder's den many moons ago. When he eventually collapsed and died, Nettlesong was gutted. It was a big blow to her, but she emerged from that as a stronger cat with an aspiration to live up to her mentor's fantastic work as a medicine cat.
