Flamestar had just returned from WoodsClan camp. And it was time to get going. The two clans would be temporarily joining together at The Gathering Field. She just had to move her clan, and Cloudkit, Eaglekit, and Fallenkit. The young kits were part of her clan. But how to get milk for them? That would be a huge problem. But, they could last.... what? A few days? Less? She was terrified at the thought. She would have to find a way to bring the kits milk.
But, they were going to go along with the plan to bring the Clan to The Gatghering Feild. Then, she could deal wih outher matters like that. She leaped up to a fallen tree branch and looked across the camp. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather underneath Fallen Tree to hear my words!" She yowled.

Dewleaf
Dewleaf left Sunpaw's side to go and sit in front of her leader. Flamestar was great, she wasn't a burden on the Clan. Dewleaf's nose twitched as a smell met her nose. Did she smell kits? It had been so long since there had been kits in the Clan -- that she did remember.
Dewleaf shook herself out of her thoughts and tried to focus on what Flamestar had to say. She didn't want to be a burden, she wanted to be a good warrior but her thoughts kept muddling her up. Why did everything have to be so confusing?

Sunpaw quickly followed Dewleaf to the other side of Camp, underneath the Fallen Tree. Tilting his head to the side, slightly, Sunpaw thought he smelled the fresh scent of newborn kits within the Camp. But this was impossible. There were no queens left in any Clan and Flamestar never showed any signs of kitting. He tried to push the thought out of his head as he looked up expectantly at his leader. Perhaps he would finally get the recognition he deserved and would have his Warrior Ceremony early thanks to him being the only cat actually taking into consideration the lack of fresh-kill, herbs, and protection from the cold Leafbare.

Flamestar took a deep breath before beginning. "I have quite a few announcements to make. The first one, is that CliffClan is.... gone. The sickness has wiped them out completely. Maplestar, was the only remaining cat. And she had five kits. Three of which, are in camp now. The other two are in WoodsClan camp. The second one, is that WoodsClan and BogClan will temporarily join together at The Gathering Field. They have a Medicine Cat, which we need, and we have a warrior and an apprentice. It is simply That we need each other. So, BogClan will be moving to The Gathering Field, until we get a Medicine Cat and some more Warriors."
Flamestar's eyes moved around her clan. Dewleaf, would accept it without any convincing. Sunpaw, would understand her reasoning. So there would be no problem. She was at ease being up here, as a leader. That was simply Flamestar's way. She waited for her clans recognition.

Sunpaw knew he smelled the scent of kits. So they were CliffClan - or... were CliffClan. Now, they are to be raised as full BogClan cats. He knew it wasn't his place to say, but nonetheless, Sunpaw spoke up. "Flamestar? Forgive me for speaking out of turn but I believe that no one who joins this Clan - whether it be through adoption or natural kitting - should know of the kits' CliffClan heritage."
Sunpaw paused for a breath, and continued. "They should be raised as BogClan - as if they were born in BogClan. Many cats would scorn them for their foreign lineage. Perhaps we should keep it a secret even from them?" That was it, he had spoken his thoughts. Now, he awaited Flamestar's response. He was but a Warrior Apprentice, he didn't have the authority to speak out to Flamestar and tell her what he thought she should do.

Flamestar listened, then nodded. "They, any newcomers to the clans, (probably Dewleaf as well), will be told that their mother died in the sickness. If we find a she-cat with milk soon enough, we will ask her to pretend that they are her kits. It will be as if there was never any CliffClan. BogClan and WoodsClan will be the only clans of the forest from now on." Flamestar meowed. Of course, under some circumstances, an Apprentice should not have spoken out like that, but, the thought didn't even cross Flamestar's mind. Sunpaw acted like a warrior, so, she had, without really realizing it decided to treat him as so, decided to treat him as so.
She leaped off fallen tree, meowing, "Sunpaw, could you bring the pale gray tabby she-kit to The Gathering field? Her name is Fallenkit. Me and Dewleaf will be right behind you." The BogClan leaders momentum from the jump, carried her right in front of Dewleaf and Sunpaw. The way they would bring the kits to The Gathering Field was simple, each cat would carry a kit.

Sunpaw nodded in response and turned to the old Medicine Cat den. Judging from the scent, the kits were huddled in there. He seemed comfortable in the den. The herbs left by the previous Medicine Cat smelled a mixture between sweet aromas and bitter, rotting old herbs. He supposed he should clean it out. But, he wasn't the Medicine Cat. It was not his responsibility at the moment. Right now, he had to focus on taking Fallenkit to the Gathering Field. Finding the pale she-kit, he picked her up gently and placed her onto his back. Immediately, her claws dug into Sunpaw's pelt. That meant she would be hanging on. She wouldn't fall off the first time he turned. The she-kit would stay put on his back.
Turning out of the den, he ran off to the entrance, giving one last nod to his remaining Clan-mates. Into the bog which BogClan took it's name, Sunpaw turned to head straight for the Gathering Field. No taking the scenic route. No taking it slow and pacing himself. Sunpaw wanted to arrive and begin on a small den for Fallenkit and her siblings - even the ones in WoodsClan. It was his duty as a Clan cat. The Warrior Code said it so.

Dewleaf
This was all quite a lot of information for Dewleaf and most if it went over her head. She didn't hear much of the conversation between Flamestar and Sunpaw as her only thoughts were on the kits. She was going to get to carry one! She didn't think she had carried a kit before, but then again, there were a lot of things she wouldn't remember.
Following Sunpaw's example, she bounded over the medicine cat den and picked up one of the kits -- a big tabby tom. He was going to be a massive warrior one day! Backing out of the den, she trotted back to Flamestar. "Ready to go," she said through a mouthful of fur making it hard to understand. Where she was meant to be going with the kit, she couldn't remember but it didn't really matter...something about WoodsClan and BogClan working together? Wouldn't CliffClan be joining too?

Flamestar picked up the last kit, a tom named Cloudkit for his white fur. She knew Dewleaf wouldn't understand half of what she had said, so it would be a great time to get a few new ideas into Dewleafs head. She padded up next to the warrior, and began to talk. "Dewleaf, do you remember? That one queen that survived the sickness? Well, she just had these kits, and then she died. So now we have to take really good care of them. The one you're caring is called Eaglekit."
Flamestar had no want to explain exactly what had happened, nor did she want to talk any more, until she was pretty sure Dewleaf had understood what she just said. Dewleaf didn't need to know the truth behind all this. And it would be easier having her not know. Flamestar began to pad out of camp, glancing back to make sure Dewleaf was following.
