Nettlesong was horrified at the news of CliffClan's extinction. And the last living members of their Clan carried their Clan's spirits in their little, squirming bodies. She couldn't do anything but obey Rowanstar and take the tiny bodies into the nursery. Picking up one carefully by the scruff of its neck, she took one last glance at the leaders before padding away. Thoughts buzzed through her head. She still couldn't quite comprehend that only two Clans had survived. Only two...
Soon the two kits were asleep in the nursery. The medicine cat felt guilty for leaving them alone for even a second, but Nettlesong needed to ask her leader something, and she was itching to find out what conclusion the two leaders had drawn to. By the sounds of things, it seemed that they would help each other, although neither Clans were used to each other's territories conditions. Uniting as one Clan would be a struggle, and a reluctant one at that, but their combined, balanced efforts might prove to be more productive - and less questionable. The dark black she-cat made her way towards the leaders.
'The kits are in the nursery, Rowanstar,' she said, lowering her head respectfully. Usually she felt quite comfortable with her leader, and only used such polite gestures when it was totally necessary, but under the watchful eyes of Flamestar, she felt like she had to make the best impression. 'I am just going to return and attend to them. I think I should probably supervise them for now, and they'll be warmer with me to sleep beside them...' A strange sensation was arising inside the she-cat. By becoming a medicine cat, she had taken up the responsibilty of looking after her Clan and developing a strong connection with StarClan, but she would never be allowed a mate or kits. But already she was feeling some sort of protectiveness about the newcomers to their camp.

Flamestar looked at him. It was then, that the perfect suggestion came to her. She stepped back in shock about the idea that had occurred to her. "The Gathering Field!" She meowed, her shock clearly revealed. "Each clan would have access to it's own territory. Nettlesong could heal our cats and train one of them to be a Medicine Cat. BogClan's Warriors and Apprentices could protect the camp and help train kits that are ready." She was surprised and happy. It would work so well.
"Nettlesong would be able to go to the Shinning Cave. If one clan turns against the other, no one will have an advantage. You could train us a Medicine Cat, and we could train you Warriors. It's perfect!" She looked at Rowanstar gleeful for his reaction. The idea was flawless. She was happy, an emotion she didn't have much. But, she was glad she'd thought up the idea.

Rowanstar liked the idea, although the trouble was that how was milk going to come for the kits? This was such a troubling time but he had to pull through, he was just going to work with BogClan..just this once.
Rowanstar nodded to Nettlesong, as long as the kit's we're safe..he was safe. Right now he had to make Lionkit an Apprentice..to get him out of the Nursery. He was going to be taught but he was going to remain as Rowanstar's apprentice.
The WoodsClan leader nodded, he liked the idea but the kits remained in his mind ''What are they're names..if they have any.'' he just looked off to Flamestar with a questioning look, he some day hoped to have kits. ''And we would need to start right away, I need Lionkit out of the nursery as soon as possible..which means a Naming Ceremony..'' he didn't know if he could do it now but he wanted to make sure if the other Leader was Ok with it.

Lionkit squealed in utter excitement. He'd been quiet and respective the whole time the other leader was in the camp - even when he saw the new kits - but he couldn't hold in his excitement any longer. "Me?" he asked, making sure he heard Rowanstar correctly. Lionkit wasn't making much of a good example of the Clan in front of Flamestar. He was still a moon too young. Of course, he wouldn't bring this fact up. He wanted to become an apprentice a soon as possible. He would finally be able to fight for the Clan. Train and hunt. Go on patrols. He could finally go outside the Camp for the first time in moons - other than the recent Gathering, of course.

"I agree. It's defiantly time for a naming ceremony. We could do it right here, and now, if you wish." Flamestar mewed with a small smile. "I am to believe you will train him yourself, right?" She knew exactly what effect the words would have on the kit, and couldn't resist. She wanted to see the kit smile, and be happy with excitement. The young cat had just herd his leader suggest that he became an apprentice, and another clans leader suggest that his leader be his mentor after agreeing.
"The kits names are-Flamestar paused for a moment, pulling the name's off her head, as she'd done in BogClan camp-Wrenkit and Ridgekit. Wrenkit is the tortoiseshell she-cat, and Ridgekit is the brown tabby." She mewed, as an afterthought, A bit wrapped up in making Lionkit a bit too happy. It was good to have such happiness, in times like this. "I have to go. I need to move my clan to The Gathering Field, and find out how to get milk to the kits. They can't die after all this." The BogClan leader dipped her head and left the WoodsClan camp.

Rowanstar had decided it was time for Lionkit to become an Apprentice, and yes of course Lionkit would become his Apprentice. He knew the kit's excitement, it was like his first time as an Apprentice although he contained it a bit more, but he showed some acknowledgment of his happiness.
Rowanstar gave a quick nod to Lionkit before looking to Flamestar again, Beautiful names for good kits who we're probably both she-cats. ''You go do that..'' but before he said anything next she had left, he looked at the nursery before making his way on top of a big stump, he jumped and once on the log, he stretched out his head for Nettlesong to hear, not that he expected her to come.
''Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather around the Stump to hear me speak'' he spoke proudly as he said this, but Lionkit was actually the only one to hear since he wasn't busy at the moment.

Lionkit stepped forward towards the Stump. He knew he was the only one present. He was the only one who would come and gather. There would be no one to witness the start of his apprenticeship. Sure, Nettlesong would surely overhear, but no one but he and Rowanstar would see. Still, it was difficult to be sad when you were about to burst with joy. Lionkit just wanted to shout to the world that he was about to become an Apprentice. He wanted to jump up to the Stump immediately, allow Rowanstar to give him the ceremonial lick all Leaders gave to each new Apprentice during their naming ceremony, and run off into the territory to hunt.

Rowanstar was proud of Lionkit, it wouldn't be long again before he became a warrior, he smiled at the thought of Lionkit becoming a warrior and all he could see was a Bouncing tom, Heh hopefully by then they're would be other cats for him to be watched by.
Rowanstar let his claws move slowly down the log, he had to do this fast so that he could get back to taking care of Business, he couldn't train Lionkit right away anyways. They would all have to go to the Gathering Field. Rowanstar began the Ceremony, he was trying to say it loud enough so that Nettlesong could hear.
Rowanstar moved forward and then finally began, "By naming apprentices, we show that WoodsClan will survive and remain strong." he hoped he didn't mess up, he just continued to look at Lionkit, he had to take on an Apprentice, Gee..He hoped another Warrior would be able to do that. " From this moment on, until he has earned his Warrior Name, this Apprentice will be known as Lionpaw." he kept watching the newly named Lionpaw, he hoped he knew that when becoming a Apprentice he was just going to touch noses with his mentor. " I, Rowanstar, are to take this young Apprentice into my paws and Show him the way of becoming a Warrior ''
The WoodsClan leader jumped off the stump and moved towards Lionpaw, dipping his head to him so that they could touch noses. He was ready to Accept his new Apprentice.

Lionkit - no, Lionpaw - touched noses with his leader. It was a huge honor in his perspective to become Rowanstar's apprentice, even if Rowanstar was the only cat eligible to become his mentor. Lionpaw nearly squealed like a kit, but held it in. He was an apprentice and needed to act as such. He was to hunt, train, and, when needed, defend WoodsClan territory. Standing tall, Lionpaw didn't know exactly what he should do at the moment. He was to carry on apprentice duties, he supposed.
Then he remembered. Lionpaw would probably have to help move the kits and Nettlesong's herbs from WoodsClan to the Gathering Field he'd visited the night before for the Gathering. Still, out of respect, he just stood in wait for him to be told what exactly to do. He supposed the kits would have to be moved first. Then, someone would have to stay with the kits - probably him as Nettlesong would know which herbs should be kept and carried to the Gathering Field and which should be thrown out. Rowanstar would need to help her as he was the leader and, as Lionpaw knew him, he would take it upon himself to look after Nettlesong. Plus they more than likely had things to talk about that they didn't want Lionpaw to hear. So, Lionpaw stood in wait of his orders.

Now that Lionkit..No wait, Lionpaw was an Apprentice and Rowanstar's he could give him orders, first things first they had to move the kits to the Gathering Field. It was going to be hard on what he wanted first, but he was just going to go along with it.
Rowanstar called out to the nursery ''Nettlesong..It's time to move the kits to the Gathering Field! I'm sending Lionpaw to get them'' once that was said, Rowanstar nodded to his Apprentice. ''Get all the herbs that you find necessary!'' he made sure she could hear him before looking around the Camp. Then back at his Apprentice ''You can go Lionpaw, get the kits to the Gathering Field then stay with them. We'll be around shortly and try to stay close to them..and also, be careful with them.'' he made sure the Apprentice was certain on keeping the kits safe, he really thought that the WoodsClan Leader himself should be doing it but something told him that Nettlesong needed to talk to him.

At the sound of Rowanstar calling her name, Nettlesong peered out from the nursery and padded over. She nodded as he described what was going on. So Lionpaw was helping her. The medicine cat felt relieved at the knowledge that she wouldn't have to make two trips to carry the young kits, and grasped one of them in her mouth to carry it. A mewl of protest arose from the limp body, and she felt a pang of sympathy. Sorry, she thought. But I have to move you!
She stood by waiting for Lionpaw to pick up the second kit. Lionpaw, he must be thrilled to have his apprentice name. And to be apprenticed by the leader! All of a sudden, another thought struck Nettlesong. She was the only medicine cat. If she died, nobody would be there with the necessary knowledge of medicine and herbs. In normal conditions, a still-young medicine cat like her needn't worry about passing too soon, but these weren't normal conditions. Even after joining with BogClan, numbers were still few. She would need to apprentice a cat. Maybe one of the kits..? Of course, that was still six moons away.
Nettlesong caught Rowanstar's eye. He seemed to intend for Lionpaw to take the kits on his own. Dipping her head, she handed the kit she was holding to the apprentice, and approached her leader.

Lionpaw nodded] in acknowledgement towards his leader and entered the nursery to pick up a kit. How does Rowanstar expect me to carry both kits? I can only carry one in my mouth, maybe one on my back, but then there's the fact I've never been out in the territory all that much, Lionpaw thought. I supposed if I get lost, I'll just yell for help? I've been to the Gathering Field and back once before, I'm sure I can do it again.
Sighing, he picked up a kit - Wrenkit, if his memory served him - and set it on his back. Taking the other kit from Nettlesong, he nodded in good-bye and sent a silent prayer to StarClan that he would not get lost and nothing would happen to the kits - or him, for that matter.
Exiting the Nursery, he stared back towards Rowanstar for a monent, seeing him approach Nettlesong, and headed for the entrance. Good-bye, WoodsClan, he thought, and hello Gathering Field. In a flash, he was gone - out of the Camp and into the Territory.

Rowanstar thought that Nettlesong wanted to talk about what was happening but the expression on her face was kinda unreadable still he wanted to know if anything was bothering her so he tried to make this quick so that Lionpaw wasn't alone for to long. Rowanstar thought about the kits right now, he wondered what he would call them when he was still alive..Wrentail? Eagleclaw? Haha, all in due time he didn't have to make the desion now and hopefully by then they're would be other Warriors by then.
Rowanstar glanced at Nettlesong came forth, he smiled at her ''Anything you would like to talk about before we go?'' he wanted to make sure everything was right, would the Warriors hunt and train Lionpaw? If they did it would be a lot of weight off his shoulders.

Nettlesong looked at Rowanstar and thought. Was there anything else she really wanted to say? The gnawing thought of taking up an apprentice still bugged her, but what could her leader do? Lionpaw was obviously a natural-born warrior, and the tom couldn't do anything. She would have to wait for the kits to be old enough, and hope that at least one of them would display interest in becoming a medicine cat.
The black she-cat shook her head. 'Nothing, Rowanstar. We'll be heading to the Gathering field, then?' She began to pad in the direction that Lionpaw left with one kit in his jaw and one kit on his back. It was a silly looking, yet tactical way of transporting both the kits - something she certainly wouldn't have thought of! She'd probably have taken the difficult option of making two trips. She felt a little surprised to find a flame of admiration of the apprentice flickering in her chest. He would be a good warrior. They certainly needed good warriors now.

Rowanstar thought that maybe Nettlesong would want to talk but she didn't seem to have anything to tell him so then it was time to head off to the Gathering Field, hopefully Lionpaw was taking care of the kits properally. He would have to figure out the milk problem when Flamestar and him we're together, this was a hard time and he did not want the kits to die. If they did..He would blame himself forever.
Rowanstar nodded to the Medicine cat and made his way over to the Brambles/Entrance/Exit. He glanced around for the last time before at Nettlesong ''If you need to get any herbs from your Den then I suggest you hurry up before Lionpaw does something wrong'' he smiled playfully and made a run out of the WoodsClan camp, as he ran he hoped that what he was doing was right.
